What is not to LOVE about Raina, she is a well trained girl, super affectionate. She learns quickly, knows most commands and is a great watch dog too.

She comes, does perfect sit stays, fetches and is good with children.

Some of her favorite things are Belly rubs, her humans- she really loves her humans and then maybe toys.

Too good to be true? I know; so she still has few things to learn she fetches but hasn’t learned to give the ball back such a great game for this pup and she really is still quite a pup. Not too good on leash yet and prefers to be the only dog in the house.

Primrose

Primrose, Female, Akbash, 5 months old, 49 lbs.

Meet Primrose! She’s just about the prettiest pup going with the sweetest personality to match.

True to her breed, Prim has a quiet nature about her. She is a smart and sensitive girl.

Prim was born outside with both working parents to look to and her 9 siblings to play with. She’s now learning what the inside is all about. Indoors Prim is quiet and a bit more timid. She enjoys a pat and will roll right on her side for belly rubbings!

Outside she’s called the White Fury as she rips around playing with her pals. You can see her natural guardian instincts kicking in though as she sits and watches over the ponies in the field without a sound.

This girl, while maybe not the type who wants to go everywhere with you, does travel quite well. She’s just a homebody! Prim knows how to sit and wait while receiving food or treats. She knows her name and comes when called, for the most part. Recall is very important to consistently work on when it comes to this breed.

Prim has been introduced to cats, kids, and dogs. She was raised on a homestead with fowl and now has ponies to keep an eye on. Primrose will be a wonderful companion and working dog!

Primrose has been vet checked, microchipped, and her vaccinations are up to date. Home Again offers an adoption fee rebate upon receipt of proof of spay when Primrose is old enough. The adoption fee for Primrose is $650.00.

Oliver

Oliver, Male, Hound X, 6 years old, 65 lbs.

Oliver is looking for a human companion to hang out with by the fire and the great outdoors.

Oliver came to us as a stray from the pound. Not knowing Oliver’s background, we’ve had to rely on him to tell us his story. We are guessing he may have been a working dog who was mostly outdoors.

He seems to mirror his environment. In the pound, he was anxious and desperately wanted human attention. When he was taken out of the pound, he would instantly calm and soak up affection without amping up with excitement. We think a laid-back home would bring out the best in Oliver.

The same can be said for his leash skills. At the pound, he was like a Husky pulling a sled, with the human being the sled. But in a calmer environment, his leash skills are surprisingly good.

He can be hit-and-miss with other dogs. This could also have something to do with his responses in a calm versus chaotic environment. Oliver has marked inappropriately inside where other dogs have been. Now that he has been neutered, we’re hopeful this will end. We don’t know how he is with cats.

Oliver travels well and doesn’t mind traffic noise. His nose will likely lead him astray if he doesn’t have a fenced area. In the future, after he becomes attached to his person or people, there is the possibility of him sticking close by. Being food motivated will help too.

We think Oliver’s ideal home will be as a devoted companion to a single person or a couple in a rural environment where he can enjoy being with his people inside and out.

Oliver has been neutered, microchipped, and his vaccinations are up to date. The adoption fee for Oliver is $500.00.

Everest

Everest, Male, Husky/Australian Shepherd, 4 years old, 45 lbs.

Everest has all the joyful exuberance of the Husky and the quick-to-learn ability of the Aussie. He even has the uniqueness of being a bobtailed Husky. This boy is a whole lot of fun!

There is no shortage of doggy head tilts from Everest. He is always trying to understand what the humans are going on about. He is very expressive and quite sensitive. Everest is one easy-to-read dog, even without a tail to help.

As affectionate and gentle as Everest is with all the people he knows, he does best when new people just ignore him. A quiet home without a lot of comings and goings is Everest’s ideal.

Everest is a happy-go-lucky boy. He is energetic, not hyper, and does have an off switch. Everest is very gentle when playing and is easy to calm if he starts to amp up. He absolutely loves his belly rubbed and will give hugs and kisses when asked.

Even though Everest plays gently with people, he is a bit full-on in play with other dogs. We don’t know for sure how he is with cats. An only pet home would be ideal. Everest came from a home with children, but we think a home with adults only is best.

Being a sensitive soul, Everest is quite obedient and willing to learn. He loves going for walks and is good on both a short and a long lead. His recall is also good, but a fenced area is needed as his Husky desire to run may override his recall.

Everest is the ideal fella for Husky-experienced people. You can’t ask for a more devoted, loving, and happy pup.

Everest has been neutered, microchipped, and his vaccinations are up to date. The adoption fee for Everest is $500.00.
