Herman
Herman, Male, Yellow Lab 1.5 yrs old
Herman is your typical happy, exuberant and friendly Lab. He simply just loves everyone.
One of Herman’s favorite things is trips to the lake, family outings and car rides. Herman is great with other dogs, we don’t know about cats.
Herman loves the children in his family but sometimes in his joyful moments he forgets his size and knocks them over so, we don’t recommend a family with children under 10. Herman is crate trained and house trained.
This wonderful boy is looking for a home with a fenced space to run and burn off some energy.
With just a little firm but gentle training to reinforce some basic commands Herman is going to become a really great companion to some lucky family or individual. If this boy sounds like your match please inquire at info@homeagainbancroft.ca.
Herman is vet checked, up to date on all vaccines and is neutered
The adoption fee for Herman is $600.00

Sparky – PENDING
Sparky, Male Chihuahua/Jack Russell X, 2.5 years old,11 lbs
Sparky is a small dog with lots of energy.
We believe that he was deprived of the opportunity to have lots of attention and of play when he was younger.
Now his foster home is helping him make up for lost time.
Sparky loves to play, he plays with his toys and he plays with the family cats (who fortunately like this!)
We are told that he frequently gets the “Zoomies.”
Sparky gets bored easily. He will appreciate lots of attention.
He is an affectionate little boy who loves to sleep beside you.’
This is not a dog who can be left alone for many hours, but if you can give him the attention and training that he needs and craves he will be a joy to own.
Perhaps this is a dog who will enjoy Agility classes
If this sounds like just the kind of dog that will thrive in your family then we will love to hear from you.
The adoption fee for Sparky is $600.
He has been neutered, his vaccinations are up to date and he has a micro chip.
For more information about Sparky or to inquire about adopting him please email Home Again at info@homeagainbancroft.ca

Gunner – PENDING
Gunner, Male, Chocolate Lab, 3 years old, 73 lbs.
Gunner is a classic chocolate lab. He is friendly, affectionate and energetic without a mean bone in his body.
Gunner loves people, including children of all ages. He has never met a person, dog or cat that he doesn’t want to be friends with.
He does get excitable when there are new friends to meet. But otherwise, a gentle and submissive soul is our Gunner.
Being a stick-around kind of dog, Gunner is excellent off-leash.
He’s a great hiking companion and walks well on leash. It is easy to imagine him cottaging, camping or RVing with his family.
Gunner is crate trained and knows the important basics like sit, lay down, heel, etc. This smartypants is also learning hand signs.
Gunner is looking for a family like him, friendly, sociable and active yet happy to kick back by the TV or fire.
Gunner has been neutered, microchipped, and his vaccinations are up to date. The adoption fee for Gunner is $600.00.
For more information or to request an adoption application, please email info@homeagainbancroft.ca.

Riley – PENDING
Riley is great with other dogs. She is a fantastic playmate but also enjoys just being a companion to the mellower pups. Riley has only met a couple of cats and she seems to be respectfully afraid of them.
Riley is crate and house trained. She likes to nap and sleep overnight in her crate. Riley knows sit, down and wait very well. Come, on the other hand, she prefers to ignore. Riley is smart and food motivated, so further training shouldn’t be a big challenge. Although, Riley is wonderful just the way she is.
Riley is a fun and cuddly girl looking for an active and affectionate family. She is well suited for an active couple or individual too. If you’re looking for a little buddy to go for walks or hikes, hang out in the yard, go for car rides, and snuggle in the evenings, Riley ticks all the boxes.

Kodi – COURTESY Post
Please direct all information and application requests for Kodi toSpeaking of Dogs at 705-444-7637 or speakingofdogs@gmail.com.
If you like adventure, then Kodi is your man! This handsome dude is looking for someone who can commit to his needs as an active dog, giving him plenty of time to run and play in a safe area.
Kodi loves car rides and walks. He will pull on the leash and sometimes lunge when he sees larger dogs, but he is making progress with this through training and practice. He is currently using a head collar or front clip harness to help him learn he doesn’t need to pull to smell the roses along the way; they will be there when he is patient, too! Continued work on leash walking will be required.
This smart fella is a gentleman with handling and at the vet. Kodi tolerates baths, even though he really dislikes the water. He has had ear drops, brushing, and nails trimmed with no issues. Kodi has even had porcupine quills pulled out of his face when he learned the hard way that no, the porcupine did not want to be chased! He is known for his squirrel hunting prowess, which could be his breed or just who he is. Kodi does not like the crate but is used to being alone with the run of the house for 4-5 hrs a day and has been left up to 8 hrs.
For more information or to adopt Kodi, please contact Speaking of Dogs at 705-444-7637 or speakingofdogs@gmail.com.

Brothers Champ and Bear – PENDING
Champ,male Shih tzu/Poodle X,5 years old, 12 lbs
Bear, male Shih Tzu/Poodle x, 5 years old,19 lbs
These sweet little Shih/Poos were abandoned. Their owners had left, taking all their possessions…..except their two little boys.
It is hard to believe that anyone would abandon these sweet lovable little boys and it is very fortunate that, after several days, a neighbour realized that the dogs were still in the house and called HomeAgain.
Nobody has claimed them.
Both boys are adorable. When you snuggle with one the other is squeezing in to get his share of the snuggles.
The are good with other dogs and have been around the fosters two cats without any problems.
They are house broken and will let you know if they want to go out,
Their foster tells us that Champ is the baby and loves nothing better than being cuddled and to snuggle up to you whenever he gets the chance.
Bear is also very loving but he is more independent. He likes to sleep in his own bed. The boys start the night together but in the morning, Champ is in his fosters bed and Bear has sole possession of the other bed.
Each dog has a cataract in one eye. They both have good eyesight in the other eye. Our vet does not recommend surgery. It would be very expensive and, more importantly, he tells us that it is very likely that the cataracts will grow back again,
Champ and Bear are obviously very attached to each other and must be adopted together.
The adoption fee for Champ and Bear together is $800. They have been neutered, their vaccinations are up to date and they each has a microchip.

Lily – PENDING
Lily, Female Chihuahua, 3 years old, 18.8 lbs.
You can see from the pictures that Lily has beautiful merle and white colouring.
She is a very pretty little girl.
Lily was a timid little girl when she first came to us. . It took time for her to trust her humans, but given time and patience and ,as the foster says, “It’s Magical”. You have a friend for life
Lily is good with cats and does well with other small dogs
Lily is crate trained and pad trained.
It was not easy to give her much outdoor time in cold weather to complete her house training ,especially not with deep snow.
Better weather will help her foster to take her out more.
Lily does well on a Lamb and Rice diet.
Dog savvy older children will love this little dog and a single person will have a loving little companion
The adoption fee for Lily is $600. She has been spayed, her vaccinations are up to date and she has a micro chip.

Lola & Iris
Lola,female Chihuahua,7 years,7 lbs
Iris, Female Chihuahua, 4 year, 9 lbs
These two older girls epitomize Chihuahuas, small, lively dogs with big personalities.
Iris, being the younger female (approx. 4 years old and 9 lbs.)is extremely loyal and will often show her exuberant nature which makes her a great companion, especially if you enjoy a “lap dog” pet. Her playful nature evolves around ‘squeaky’ toys. In a few words, she loves them!! If you like cuddles and kisses, Iris is the one to give you those in abundance. She has been a joy to have in the foster’s home.
Lola, is the matron of the two at approximately 7 years of age and weighing in at about 7lbs. Beautiful and distinct merle colouring matches her personality. She is the quieter lady of the two. Lola would be more than happy just to sit with you and cuddle for hours on end.
We would like to keep Iris and Lola together as a pair. They met each other at their foster’s home and instantly bonded together. They are very good with each other, sleep together thru the night, play together and are comfortable being crated.
When Lola and Iris are adopted together the total adoption fee will be $800, Both dogs have been spayed and their vaccinations are up to date. They have microchips.
